ROLE: HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT 

YEAR: 2015-2017

As Head of Development at SBS Productions, I led the format development of two television concepts in close collaboration with Fashionchick and broadcaster NET5.

The project started with a daily short-form concept and when proven succesfull I was given the assignment to into add a format for a a prime-time show. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Concept and format development of the daily short-form program
    “Elke Dag Een Look” (EDEL) – 1-minute daily fashion format

  • Strategic co-development with Fashionchick and NET5

  • Development of the extended 25-minute format
    “Fashionchick Make-Over”

  • Negotiation and alignment in sponsorship conversations

  • Development of overall look & feel and visual identity

  • Talent coaching and on-screen guidance

  • Direction of Season 1 of EDEL

  • Direction of the pilot episode of Fashionchick Make-Over (EPS4 in broadcast) 

IMPACT

  • Successful transition / addition from creating a  1 minute short-form daily concept to full-length television format

  • Strengthened cross-platform visibility of the Fashionchick brand

  • Integration of commercial partnerships within editorial storytelling

  • Established scalable format structure for multi-season rollout
