At DPG Media, I was responsible for editorial leadership for both print and online within the title Story, one of the Netherlands’ leading entertainment magazines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and coaching editorial staff and freelance contributors

  • Safeguarding tone of voice, editorial quality and weekly production rhythm

  • Translating celebrity news and entertainment trends into commercially strong cover stories

  • Coordinating cross-functional collaboration between editorial, design and online publishing

  • Balancing journalistic relevance with circulation-driven storytelling

  • Optimizing workflows under high weekly deadlines

  • Introducing new workflows and collaborative models across departments

  • Implementing AI into editorial workflow

GLOSSY MAGAZINE GLORIOUS

Pioneering a new glossy for Gen Z; Glorious was developed as a new title targeting a Gen Z audience; with a clear ambition: modern, bold and culturally relevant.

This project required not just editorial direction, but entrepreneurial thinking within a large media organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co-developing the editorial concept and positioning for a new Gen Z glossy

  • Building and leading a newly assembled editorial team from multiple DPG titles

  • Translating Gen Z media behavior into a viable print formula

  • Implementing tone of voice, visual identity and content pillars

  • Introducing new workflows and collaborative models across Dutch and Belgian departments
